Based in Melbourne, Australia, the company’s employees are experienced in all facets of unmanned aviation — providing a single resource for customers seeking either systems or service.

It has been employed for customers around the world including NASA, the U.S. Office of Naval Research, Australia’s Defence Science and Technology Organisation, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and more.
Our skilled staff of aircraft operators have undertaken civilian operations for more than 12 years, accumulating more than 6,000 flight hours on behalf of our customers. In fact, Aerosonde and its aircraft operators have received airworthiness certification by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), the first certification program of its kind in the world.
Aerosonde also offers dedicated operations, production, maintenance, and development teams to provide customers tailored UAS solutions to maximize the value of their systems.
In 2006, Aerosonde became a subsidiary of AAI Corporation. Headquartered in the United States, AAI’s high-technology products and services include unmanned aircraft systems, training and simulation systems, automated aerospace test and maintenance equipment, armament systems, aviation ground support equipment, and logistical, engineering, and supply chain services. AAI is an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. company.
